Texas born and raised, Paul Wall started off doing street promotions for Def Jam Records. After he started recording on DJ Michael 5000 Watts’ Swisha House mixtapes, Wall quickly began to gain notariety and popularity across Texas. When Paul Wall teamed up with Chamillionaire in 2002 to release the extremely successful “Get Ya Mind Correct”, major record labels were knocking down the door looking to sign Wall. In 2005 Paul Wall signed a record deal with Swisha House/Asylum/ Atlantic Records and released the RIAA Certified Platinum album “The Peoples Champ” which debuted as the #1 album in the country on Billboard’s Top 200. Paul Wall later teamed up with Nelly on the smash hit and #1 Billboard song “Grillz” which went on to be nominated for a GRAMMY.

Paul Wall is now currently serving as President of the Texas Chapter of The Recording Academy. With over 7 recorded albums released, Paul Wall continues to be a leader in Texas Hip Hop. Paul Wall’s most recent release was “THE HEART OF A CHAMPION” in 2010, and he is currently working on a new project “NO SLEEP TIL HOUSTON”.
